Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria for the 2020/2021 academic session.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Broad (JAMB) has proposed a date for its 2020 examinations. The board proposed March 14 to April 4, 2020, for the Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME).
The board also fixed February 18, 2020, for its mock examination which usually comes before the main UTME examinations. Mock examinations are optional for candidates.
The registrar of the board, Ishaq Oloyede, made this announcement during a meeting between JAMB and commissioners for education in Abuja. The document of the meeting was sent to DAILYS Monday afternoon by the spokesperson Fabian Benjamin.
Mr Oloyede said registration of UTME and Direct Entry students will commence on January 13 to February 17, 2020, while mock registration will start from January 13 to February 1, 2020. Candidates are advised to register and obtain their National Identity Number from NIMC as the number is mandatory for all candidates.

The Board wishes to inform the general public that the sale of JAMB 2020 application forms would commence 13th January, 2020. Kindly disregard any news stating otherwise.
The registrar also said the board uses ‘ticketing system’ where a candidate or anybody desiring the board’s services can send their complaint(s) and responses are given within 24 hours.
He said, candidates do not need to travel to JAMB offices to access certain services.
“It has a tracking number that is issued once a ticket is raised. If not attended to, the number can be used as evidence to track the officer scheduled who would be sanctioned. The system is designed to eliminate any stress associated with accessing the Board’s services,” he said.
The professor urged all prospective candidates to do their registration and access the board’s major services in any of its 718 accredited centres in the country.
With this announcement, all prospective candidates are urged to kick start their preparation towards the 2020 with Out CBT APP. For a start, candidates are advised to use the 2020 JAMB Brochure, to confirm the courses they intend to study, requirements and schools that offer such courses. Also, the 2020 JAMB Syllabus will help guide you on the topics you are required to cover for each of the subjects you will be taking in 2019 UTME.
Above all, get the 2020 JAMB CBT Practice Software. These will enable you to cover all JAMB past questions as well as get familiar with the JAMB CBT environment before the exam.
Schools, Institutions, Tutorial Centres, Business Centres & Cafes can equally act as JAMB CBT Agents and Training Centres to help train students for the upcoming exams. For details on how to proceed, please click here.

He finally warned that the board would not tolerate any JAMB-related materials in all the centres, especially question papers, as most often turned out to be fake, thereby duping innocent candidates. He said that JAMB would also not hesitate to blacklist any centres that attempted to undermine the integrity of its examination through infractions.
